The biggest and most modern museum in Croatia! The expensive and modern building was designed by the Croatian architect Igor Franić and was built specifically for the museum and houses, next to the museum, a library, a book-store which sells souvenirs and books about art, a cafe-restaurant and a multimedia hall. This multimedia hall is used for theatre productions and film projections, but is also used for various meetings and conferences. The museum houses 12,000 objects and works of art of which only 600 items are on display. The work shown is by contemporary Croatian and well known international artists – photographs, graphic art, sculpture and film are exhibited. Every 2-3 months a new temporary exhibition is displayed, the program can be found on the website of the museum.
The Kožarić Studio displays more than 6000 items, such as sculptures, reliefs, installations, paintings, drawings, sketches and much more.
