The Ethnographic Museum in Zagreb was founded in 1919 and is located in a beautiful building build in 1902 in the Secession style. The collection of the museum covers the ethnographic heritage of Croatia, and is divided into three cultural zones:

  1. Pannonian
  2. Dinaric
  3. Adriatic

The permanent collection of the museum displays about 3.000 items from two themes; Croatian folk costumes and selected items of National Art and Handicrafts.
In the non-European part there are items from traditional cultures of Africa, Latin America, Asia, Australia and Oceania.
