Located outside the fortified walls to the south along the coast. The museum was founded in the year 1945 with the intention to collect, keep, study, exhibit and publish fine arts material of the modern and contemporary period. The Museum of Modern Art Dubrovnik has to date managed to assemble a valuable collection of  2,620 works of art, via purchases, donations and gifts.
