Ethnographic Museum Split

Etnografski Muzej Split

The Museum was founded already at the beginning of the 20th century – in 1910. On display is the ethnography of the whole Dalmatian area, with many typical costumes – with beautiful embroideries. These embroideries are specific for each region, like the white embroideries from Sinj, the lace-work from Primosten, Novigrad and the island Pag.

Also items for everyday use are on display, like pottery, knitting, woodcarvings, baskets, footwear, instruments, silver jewellery and different types of weapons.
