The cultural event of the year in this region ‘Porcijunkulovo’ – a real attraction for everyone! This festival is organized for more than 50 years, originally it was a Fair of traditional crafts on the occasion of the celebration of Our Lady of the Angels – Porziuncola (02.08) from which the event got its name. The festival takes place over a period of six days in August and shows the best traditions and products what the region has to offer!
In addition to the varied musical program and the free concerts, especially the old crafts that are exhibited in the streets are worth to see. There are many stalls, including those with beautifully painted ‘gingerbread’, often in the shape of a heart, ceramics, basket makers, lace making, carpenters, shoe makers, art, jewellery, local produce made from honey and much more.
There is also a playground for the children, an international ‘old-timer’ meeting, archery presentations, workshops of traditional crafts, and the changing of the guard ‘Zrinski garda’.
