A city build in Roman times, but flourishing during the rule of the Venetians, with the building of many churches and palaces. Zadar is located on a small peninsula and is ideal for a stroll around the historic buildings, visit to museums and of course shopping for souvenirs! The Anastasia Cathedral and the Donatus church are a must see as they are well preserved and show a unique and beautiful architecture.
Ideally located in the north of Dalmatia along the beautiful blue Adriatic sea with a warm Mediterranean climate. Zadar is easy to reach by car and air-plane, the area offers many sandy beaches, ample opportunities for summer activities, and visits to nearby islands. The islands Vir and Pag are connected to the mainland by bridge and other islands can easily be reached by ferry.
