The Archaeological museum of Zadar was founded in 1832 is one of the oldest museums in Croatia. It displays archaeological findings from Zadar and from the islands Pag and Rab dating from the Palaeolithic age to about the 11th century.

There are different departments in the museum

  • pre-historic
  • ancient
  • medieval
  • submarine archaeological unit

The museum has also a gift shop.
