Mljet known as the green island with lots of nature, located just south of the peninsula Peljesac north of Dubrovnik and reachable by ferry from Peljesac, Dubrovnik and Split. Rent a boat or a canoe and run along the coast to visit sea caves and beaches, spot dolphins and other sea life. Visit the island with its unique and beautiful emerald lakes, two deep bays filled with sea-water – unique geological and oceanographic phenomenon, called the Malo (small) and Veliko (big) Jezero (lake). The park is rich with many endemic species, some of them endangered, there are archaeological sites and the Benedictine Monastery on the island of St. Mary in the ‘Veliko’ Lake is a must see.

Entrance tickets to the park can now also be purchased via the official webshop of Croatian park, take care which period you will be visiting the park from June-September it is more expensive but there are reduced prices for students.
