The Zoo of Zagreb is located in beautiful green Park Maksimir and worth a visit. Recent renovations have made the environments for the animals more natural like and despite the smaller number of animals compared to other large European ZOO’s the park has a nice atmosphere and is large enough for a day visit with plenty of activities for children. There are daily feedings of different animals like otters, piranha’s, sea lions and seals. The ZOO has several indoor spaces with animals and plants, an area with lots of water, children playground and a cafe for a snack, coffee or ice-cream.
