The capital of Croatia has plenty to offer to everyone!

It has a rich history with historic buildings, all kinds of museums from history to modern art, and plenty of parks and shopping streets to walk around. Located in the middle of Croatia along the river Sava and below the mountain and nature park Medvednica, giving the city an extra dimension.
Visit the upper town (Gornji grad) with its very recognizable st. Marks church with it’s coloured roof tiles, the Presidential Palace and Parliament, and museums and galleries. Walk through the romantic cobbled streets lit by gas lamps and enjoy the view over Zagreb. The Lower town (Donji grad) offers long streets with many shops, restaurants, bars, café’s and parks with historic buildings like the opera house.

The city offers public transport like buses and trams, which are a good alternative to taxi’s. Zagreb is easy to reach by car via the highways from Slovenia and Hungary, but many tourists arrive by plane at the in 2017 newly opened airport. From there you can take a direct bus line to city centre.

Take a break, go to Zagreb for a few days and relax, visit the old town and some museums, and enjoy the Croatian cuisine!
